Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Bookmarks Bar Switcher Chrome extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.
Description of Service
Bookmarks Bar Switcher is a Chrome extension that allows users to:
- Create and manage multiple bookmark bar configurations
- Switch between different bookmark states
- Automatically save bookmark configurations
- Export and import bookmark states
- Synchronize data across devices via Chrome sync
User Responsibilities
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device and Chrome browser
- Managing your Chrome sync settings appropriately
- Backing up important data independently
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the Extension
- Use the Extension to violate the rights of others
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Extension
Extension Functionality
Core Features
- Bookmark Management: Save, restore, and organize bookmark configurations
- Auto-Save: Automatic saving based on user-configured intervals
- Cross-Device Sync: Synchronization via Chrome's built-in sync service
- Data Export/Import: Backup and restore functionality
Limitations
- The Extension requires Chrome browser to function
- Chrome sync must be enabled for cross-device functionality
- Bookmark data is processed locally on your device
- No cloud backup service is provided beyond Chrome sync
Data and Privacy
Data Handling
- All bookmark data is processed locally on your device
- No data is transmitted to external servers (except Chrome sync)
- Your privacy is protected as outlined in our Privacy Policy
- You control what data is synced through Chrome settings
User Control
- You can export your data at any time
- You can delete all Extension data by uninstalling
- You control Chrome sync settings independently
- No data is retained after uninstallation
Intellectual Property
Extension Rights
The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
User Content
You retain ownership of your bookmark data and configurations. By using the Extension, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Extension's functionality.
Disclaimers
Service Availability
- The Extension is provided "as is" without warranties
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Chrome browser updates may affect Extension functionality
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Extension
Data Loss
- We are not responsible for data loss or corruption
- Users should maintain independent backups
- Chrome sync issues are outside our control
- Extension updates may require data reconfiguration
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or use
- Business interruption
- Computer failure or malfunction
- Any other damages arising from the use of the Extension
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developers from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Extension.
Termination
User Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by:
- Disabling the Extension in Chrome
- Uninstalling the Extension
- Disabling Chrome sync (affects cross-device functionality)
Developer Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to the Extension immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Extension constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developers operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

Note: These Terms of Service are specific to the Bookmarks Bar Switcher Chrome extension. Your use of Chrome browser and Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service.
